What a wonderful way to start the day. Hardly a cloud in the sky, all is calm in Longbranch as a gorgeous sun rises over Filucy Bay.
A fitting Memorial Day to remind us of all that we are grateful for.
Boats tied together on Filucy Bay, just off the Longbranch Marina, its occupants waiting for the day to come.
I raked our yard, paying close attention to a swallowtail butterfly feasting on the fuchsia blooms of a Dianthus plant. Its bulbous eyes speckled with pollen, antenna alertly swiveling from side to side.
Smoke from our yard debris waft lazily over our bank, squirrels screech as a floatplane buzzes by.
The goofy golden doodle content on the deck, the shorty porti staying inside, barely moving, deep in sleep.
“What an absolutely beautiful day,” my Lovely Bride said.
Indeed my dear.
Good morning Longbranch.
