Young eagle soars over Longbranch

eagle flight
A young bald eagle takes flight from its perch on a madrona tree along Drayton Passage.

A break in the rain brought out a young bald eagle to a perch on our bank.

Unlike its more mature brethren, it flitted in quietly.

I would not have spotted it had it not been for my Lovely Bride’s eagle eyes.

“Look!,” she said, pointing out to the bank from her cozy corner of the bed. “An eagle just landed on the madrona tree.”

Oh well, I will have to go out on the bank and make some pictures.

The Goofy Golden Doodle looked up expectantly, hoping it also meant she could stretch out her long rangy legs.

Good morning Longbranch.
