Longbranch Summer Takes a Chill Pill

Good morning Longbranch.

It has been a while — a very long while — since my last post.

This morning we felt relief from the heat as rain fell for the briefest of moments. It was enough to cool things down, even indulge in a few more minutes of shuteye.

My lovely bride and I stepped out on our deck and savored the slight breeze blowing from the south, coffee mugs in hand. A plate of seafood fritter hit the spot, as we watched a handful of people on personal watercraft motor past the exposed sandbar by Soundview Camp.

The eagles are whistling, the robins singing and squirrels are slowly sauntering out of their nests.

Another average day on the Key Peninsula.
