Sweet Serenade of the Summer Rain in Longbranch

Calm and flat on Drayton’s Passage this morning.

What sweet serenade the summer rain makes.

It made for restful sleep and a happy garden.

My lovely bride and I woke up to a calm morning on Drayton’s Passage. Low clouds hung heavy in the gray sky as an eagle muscled its way across our bank. The rest of the birds must still be asleep for not a single song has been sung.

It is currently 57 degrees with a high of 77, according to the weather geeks. We can probably expect a few more showers before the day is done.

Good morning Longbranch.
