Good morning Longbranch.
I hope we all had a wonderful weekend — wet though it may have been. Many of you were still out and about on the Key Peninsula — shopping, gardening or on your boats. Well, good for you.
It is currently 53 degrees and overcast in our neck of the woods. Our high today, according to the weather geeks, will not top 60 degrees. We will probably see more of the same drizzly days until Friday when the sun will finally show its face and things may dry out a bit for the weekend.
I give you today in history:
In 1959, monkeys Able & Baker zoom 300 miles into space on a Jupiter missile, becoming the first animals retrieved from a space mission. Read an interesting story about the animals here: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=104578202
