Good morning Longbranch. If you thought yesterday was warm, today will be a scorcher. My lovely bride just ordered the kiddie pool out of the garage for our goofy goldendoodle to wallow in. The sun has been out and the sky is clear. Again.

It is 50 degrees out at the moment, but the weather geeks are saying the mercury will surely hit the mid 80s by the afternoon. Shhhh. Don’t tell the Californians. We do have the loveliest weather in the world.

“In the winter, there could be a blizzard in the northeast, a tornado in the south, and we’re having drizzly rain,” said John Buday yesterday at the Longbranch Marina breakfast laughing. “We have the best climate in the world.”

And not just the weather, by the way. If you opened your windows right about now you will hear a cacophony of bird songs and calls that make life in Longbranch such a joy.

Stay cool, plant those flowers and drink lots of water. We are in a heat wave. Hang loose brah.
