The phases of Mt. Rainier last night: top, just before sun down, middle, the final blast of sunshine hitting Anderson Island, and bottom, the final sliver of light hitting the top of the mountain.

Good morning Longbranch. For the first time this season I walked my dog without putting on a coat. This means summer weather is here. I know because I am a cold-weather wimp. It is currently 48 degrees and the weather geeks say our high today will be in high 70s. Bring it on, I say.
