Books, bluegrass and magic may do the trick

Good morning Longbranch. Today may not be as beautiful as yesterday. But fret not. If you must stay indoors, go on down the road to the Key Center Library for a magic show, bluegrass music and computer demonstration.

Catch Jeff Evans’ interactive magic show at the library’s open house today starting at 11 a.m. Evans, of Olympia, Wash., has been an entertainer since 1997.

“It was entertaining, interactive, fun and truly amazing. It’s hard to believe you did what we saw you do,” said Wendy Wilson on the simplymagic.org website. “You had the full attention of all 27 of us every second, and you can tell we loved your performance by the standing ovation. I highly recommend you.”

Also if you’re a bluegrass fan, don’t miss Rusty Roots. They will play from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a block party for school children from 1-3 p.m. and an introduction to STEAM (Science, Technology, Art and Math) programs with a computer demonstration for children ages 6-14.

And now for the weather: It is currently 46 degrees. Our high today will be 50 and the low 39. There is a very good chance that we will see rain today but the forecast for the next four days looks bright and sunny.

So get out of your jammies, feed those chickens, jump in your Ford F150 and mosey on down the Key Peninsula Highway where magic may just happen.
