It was a fairly smooth drive into town for a Monday morning. A mist hung over farms and valleys on the southern tip of the Key Peninsula. The sun was burning through the low clouds giving us a photogenic morning.
It was a shock to the wallet to see today’s gas prices on the Key Peninsula Highway. The Home, Wash., Shell station was selling their fuel for $3.75/gallon, the 134th Avenue Shell had their gas at $3.69/gallong, the Wauna, Wash., Chevron priced their gasoline at $3.65/gallon and the Union 76 had the cheapest gas at $3.59/gallon.
